Firstly, thank you so much for your donation of $400. I hope you’ll be pleased to hear that your donation has been put towards our Education project which will make an amazing difference to the children’s future in the Nkhata Bay District.
Light is a huge problem in the classrooms, however one solution is special clear roof panels which are placed in the iron sheet roofs and these let more light directly into the classrooms. The panels work like a "skylight" would in a house, and the idea would be to get some of these panels on every school building's roof so that daylight better filters in. This will be a huge benefit to the students as the difference really is amazing.
Your donation has enabled us to install 8 panels in the Mazembe Primary School which cost approximately £40 each.
I have attached some photos for you of the classroom block and these clearly show how effective these roof panels are.
